Lock It or Lose It: ACP Warns Vehicle Owners

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACP) Livai Driu has issued a warning to the public about the dangers of leaving vehicles unattended with keys in the ignition. This advisory follows two recent incidents where suspects stole cars after discovering the keys left inside.

ACP Driu emphasized that criminals often seize opportunities and encouraged vehicle owners to exercise caution and secure their vehicles consistently. He stated, “Opportunists have no regard for anyone when they intend on committing a crime, which can also affect victims’ families if they are present in the vehicle.”

Furthermore, he assured that when a report of a stolen vehicle is received, check points will be established to prevent the car from being used in further criminal activities.
