Software Factory Ltd, a proudly local software development company led by iTaukei businessman Semi Tukana, has secured a pivotal contract to create a specialized loan management system for the iTaukei Land Trust Board’s Taukei Development Fund Facility (TDFF). This partnership aligns perfectly with the TLTB’s vision of enhancing the administration of their growing loan portfolio, which currently includes over 60 iTaukei landowners and units.
TLTB’s CEO, Solomone Nata, emphasized the importance of implementing a tailored platform that ensures efficient management throughout the loan lifecycle, enhancing support for landowners. The new system, named LoanWorksNGX, is anticipated to launch next month. It aims to streamline various processes such as loan applications, disbursements, repayments, and monitoring borrower performance, vital for maintaining financial transparency and accountability.
As part of the agreement, Software Factory will deliver a comprehensive suite of services, including unlimited user licenses with mobile access, cloud integration, and staff training to ensure seamless adoption of the new system. The project also aligns with regulatory standards set by the Reserve Bank of Fiji and follows ISO27001 information security protocols, which underscores its commitment to maintaining high-security measures.
Tukana expressed pride in contributing to TLTB’s mission of empowering iTaukei landowners, stating that this advancement is a significant step towards fostering improved financial viability and supporting landowners in commercial and investment initiatives.
This development follows TLTB’s broader efforts to enhance financial services for iTaukei landowners as they set forth on various projects to economically empower the iTaukei community. These initiatives strive to not only reduce poverty levels but also to increase participation in business ventures among the iTaukei people.
The collaborative efforts between TLTB and Software Factory accentuate the importance of local partnerships in driving technological advancements and economic support, heralding a hopeful future for iTaukei landowners and fostering greater community development across Fiji.
