Three of the four local football teams that have qualified for the 2024 Pacific Community Cup tournament are still seeking their first victory in this prestigious event.

Only Lautoka has previously claimed the Pacific Cup title, having won it twice, while Rewa, Labasa, and newcomers Navua have yet to secure a win in this tournament. The excitement is palpable as the Pacific Cup will take place in Lautoka starting next week, with local teams eager to make their mark against four international teams from New Zealand, Australia, and the USA.

Kicking off the tournament, IDC Champions Labasa will face the strong USA All-Stars at 4:30 PM. Meanwhile, Navua, making their debut in this tournament, will aim for a solid start as they go up against the AuFFI All-Stars from Australia.

The consistent Rewa, who recently became the 2024 National League Champions, will take on the defending champions, the Auckland All-Stars, in their first match. Last but not least, Lautoka, the champions of the Fiji FACT and BOG, will challenge last year’s runners-up, the Manukau All-Stars, in the final match of the opening day at Churchill Park.

This tournament represents a wonderful opportunity for these local teams to prove themselves and possibly achieve their first victories on a larger stage, creating a promising atmosphere for both players and fans alike. The anticipation for this exciting event is growing, highlighting the commitment and passion for football in the region.
