Former goalkeepers Garfil Coster and Terence Odiun have been named the co-coaches of Nadroga Football Association for the upcoming 2025 season. The appointment was confirmed by Nadroga President Max Chetty, who expressed confidence in their suitability for the roles, noting their dedication to the district.
Chetty stated, “Both the coaches are former Nadroga players and have the district at heart.” He emphasized the importance of providing local coaches with the opportunity to lead the team, highlighting a focus on nurturing homegrown talent. Coster and Odiun will assume their duties immediately, with high expectations for the upcoming season.
This change in coaching follows the departure of Viliame Toma, who was relieved of his duties after a disappointing performance during the FMF Inter District Championship, where the team suffered a significant 8-0 defeat.
With Coster and Odiun at the helm, there is hope for a positive shift in Nadroga’s performance following a challenging period marked by substantial losses in previous competitions. The focus moving forward will be on revitalizing the team’s spirit and striving for improved results in the 2025 season. Fans are optimistic that this fresh leadership will inspire the players and enhance their performance on the field.
