A businessman from Labasa is making a significant investment to build two hotels in the Northern division of Fiji. Vinesh Dayal, the managing director of The Lunchbox, Northpole Hotels Labasa, and Vualiku Hotel Nadi, announced plans for hotels in Labasa and Savusavu.
Dayal shared his long-held aspiration to establish a presence in Savusavu, having recently acquired a 10-acre beachfront property there. He expects to see the first resort constructed by a local within the next 24 months.
Regarding the project in Labasa, he mentioned that construction on the Vualiku Hotel at Jaycee’s Park is set to commence soon. This hotel project is a joint venture with local landowners, a partnership established 14 years ago, aiming to involve landowners in mainstream business opportunities.
Dayal emphasized that these two projects will not only create jobs but also offer various economic benefits. He pointed out that Lunchbox has become a well-known brand, employing 100 workers across seven branches. The new Vualiku Hotel in Nadi has created 40 jobs, while the Labasa Northpole Hotel employs 30 workers.
Expressing his confidence in the economy, Dayal explained that this belief drives his substantial investment in his business.
