Tevita Loga, a 56-year-old entrepreneur, is successfully operating a bakery business called Three T’s in Naruwai, Dama, Bua, which is proving beneficial for local residents. The business has only been running for a month, but it has already shown significant progress, with ample demand from the community in Dama, which is part of Bua Province.
The bakery provides a variety of products, including cream buns, cheese buns, pizza, coconut rolls, and cakes. Loga emphasizes the bakery’s vital role in serving about 130 households in the area, who previously had limited access to baked goods due to geographic isolation. Residents needed to travel over 200 kilometers to find such products, but now they can conveniently purchase them locally.
The business has seen a steady increase in sales, particularly noted over the past three weeks, illustrating the need for such services in the community. Additionally, there are plans to further develop the bakery to meet the rising demand for baked goods in the surrounding villages, including those near Kubulau and Nasolo.
Loga, who also carries out community improvement activities, encourages local youth to abandon negative influences and focus on positive employment opportunities. He believes that sustaining good business practices will lead to continued community growth and prosperity.
