The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LICI) has introduced significant changes to improve the login process for its mobile app, “LICI FIJI.” The new system removes the need for usernames and passwords, allowing users to log in easily with just their email ID and a One Time Password (OTP).
Pradeep Shenoy, general manager of LICI Fiji, shared that this updated version of the app is designed to be user-friendly. During the 68th anniversary celebrations at their Suva head office, he emphasized that the simplification of the login process makes it much more accessible for customers.
Moreover, the app provides customers with comprehensive information regarding their policies, including details such as policy start dates, plan terms, sum assured, premium amounts, the status of paid premiums, any unpaid premiums, loan details, nomination information, survival benefits, and maturity claims.
Customers can now easily access a wealth of policy-related data and check for any outstanding payments at their convenience. The app also allows users to generate quotes for LICI’s 13 different plans and provides in-depth details on plan features.
In addition to these improvements, Mr. Shenoy announced the successful digitization of 70,000 physical files, covering over 3.5 million pages. This substantial effort in converting data is aimed at resolving earlier service inefficiencies, thereby enabling customers to manage services and access information without needing physical documents.
These initiatives demonstrate LICI’s dedication to enhancing customer service and operational efficiency in today’s digital environment, coinciding with their ongoing 68th anniversary celebrations.
