Leone Nawai’s Exciting Super Rugby Comeback with the Chiefs!

Former Fijian Drua scrum half Leone Nawai will be making his return to Super Rugby Pacific with the Gallagher Chiefs in a pre-season match against the Hurricanes this Saturday. Nawai, who is now playing for the Bunnings Warehouse National Provincial Championship side Taranaki, has been selected as part of the 37-man squad and will be starting from the bench.

Joining him in the lineup are fellow Fijian players winger Manasa Mataele and strongman Peniasi Malimali, who is also listed as a substitute. The Chiefs have added new signings Brodie McAlister and Jahrome Brown to their roster, which demonstrates the team’s commitment to strengthening its performance ahead of the main competition.

The match will take place at Yarrow Stadium at 1 PM. With an exciting mix of seasoned players and new talent, the Chiefs are looking to set a positive tone for the upcoming season.
