Nakul Reddy, a 6-time Inter District Championship (IDC) winner with Ba, has passed away.
Affectionately known as “Gege,” Reddy died peacefully on Wednesday, July 10, in Frensco, California at the age of 66.
Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel, along with the board members and the entire football community, expressed their profound sadness at Reddy’s passing.
Patel highlighted Reddy’s significant contributions to Fijian football, describing him as a great footballer and an inspirational leader of his era.
He extended his condolences to Reddy’s family during this difficult time.
Reddy played games in the US and Canada since 1974 and was only 16 years old when he joined the Fijian soccer community.
He was a stand-out performer for Balboa High School in San Francisco and played first division football in the San Francisco League.
Reddy represented the Men in Black from 1982.
His family is yet to announce his funeral details.
