Legendary Ba Soccer Champion Nakul Reddy Passes Away | Football Community Mourns

Nakul Reddy, a six-time Inter District Championship (IDC) winner with Ba, has passed away. Affectionately known as “Gege,” Reddy died peacefully on Wednesday, July 10, in Fresno, California, at the age of 66.

Fiji Football Association president Rajesh Patel, along with board members and the entire football community, expressed their deep sorrow at Reddy’s passing. Patel highlighted Reddy’s significant contributions to Fijian football, describing him as a great footballer and an inspirational leader of his era. He also extended his condolences to Reddy’s family during this difficult time.

Reddy began his soccer career in the US and Canada in 1974 when he was just 16 years old. He was a standout performer for Balboa High School in San Francisco and played first division football in the San Francisco League. He represented the team known as the Men in Black from 1982.

His family has yet to announce the details of his funeral.
