Leeds Rhinos have announced the signing of Fijian winger Maika Sivo from the Parramatta Eels on a three-year contract. The 31-year-old, who is currently competing for his national team in the Pacific Championships, has been with Parramatta since 2019, where he scored over 100 tries in the NRL.

Sivo’s move to Headingley brings him back together with Leeds coach Brad Arthur, who previously managed Parramatta for a decade. He becomes the Rhinos’ fourth new signing since the conclusion of the 2024 Super League season, joining Samoan player Keenan Palasia, Australian second-rower Cooper Jenkins, and full-back Jake Connor from Huddersfield Giants.

“Brad is a big part of who and where I am today,” Sivo remarked. “When he reached out to see if I wanted to come to Leeds, I immediately said ‘I’m coming’. It was a significant decision for my partner and me to move to the other side of the world, but we were thrilled about the challenge ahead.”
