Leeds Rhinos have announced the signing of Fiji winger Maika Sivo from the Australian club Parramatta Eels on a three-year contract. The 31-year-old player is currently competing for his national team in the Pacific Championships and has been with Parramatta since 2019, where he scored over a hundred tries in the NRL.

Sivo’s move to Headingley brings him under the guidance of Leeds coach Brad Arthur, who previously managed Parramatta for a decade. He is the fourth player to join the Rhinos since the conclusion of the 2024 Super League season, following Samoan Keenan Palasia, Australian second-rower Cooper Jenkins, and full-back Jake Connor from Huddersfield Giants.

“Brad is a big part of who and where I am today,” Sivo stated. “When he sent me a message to see if I wanted to come to Leeds, I immediately agreed.” He noted the significant decision for him and his partner to relocate to the other side of the world but expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming challenge.
