Leeds Rhinos have officially signed Fiji winger Maika Sivo from the Parramatta Eels on a three-year contract. The 31-year-old is currently representing Fiji in the Pacific Championships and has been with Parramatta since 2019, where he scored over a hundred tries in the NRL.
Sivo’s transfer to Headingley will see him reunite with Leeds coach Brad Arthur, who managed Parramatta for a decade. He is the fourth addition to the Rhinos’ squad following the conclusion of the 2024 Super League season, joining Samoa’s Keenan Palasia, Australian second-rower Cooper Jenkins, and full-back Jake Connor from Huddersfield Giants.
“Brad is a big part of who and where I am today,” Sivo stated. “When he reached out to ask if I wanted to come to Leeds, I immediately said ‘I’m coming’. It was a significant decision for both my partner and me to move to the other side of the world, but we were excited for the challenge ahead.”
