Leadership Shuffle: New Roles for Education and Justice Secretaries

The Public Service Commission has announced the reassignment of Selina Kuruleca, who will move from her position as Permanent Secretary for Education to become Permanent Secretary for Justice, effective next Monday.

In her place, Ratu Meli Nacuva will take on the role of Acting Permanent Secretary for Education while also serving as Permanent Secretary for Youth and Sports.

Commission Chairman Luke Rokovada expressed gratitude to Kuruleca for her commitment to maintaining high educational standards and for her efforts in improving both quality and equity within the education system. He believes that this new role will allow her to further utilize her skills and experience.

Rokovada also highlighted that Nacuva brings a wealth of experience in public administration, education policy, and training, which will be essential for continuing the Ministry’s mission to enhance the quality and accessibility of education for all citizens.

The Commission is dedicated to ensuring a smooth transition that will keep the focus on improving educational outcomes.
