Additionally, Manasa Lesuma, the current Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Housing, has been given extra duties as the Acting Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Policing as of January 14, 2025.

PSC Chairman Luke Rokovada emphasized that these changes reflect the government’s ongoing commitment to optimizing leadership across essential sectors. This strategy aims to place qualified individuals in pivotal roles, fostering local talent and improving governance throughout the public sector.

Overall, this reshuffle signals a hopeful outlook for governance in Fiji. By promoting local expertise within its leadership ranks, the government positions itself to respond more effectively to the needs of its citizens and address the evolving challenges ahead.
