The Leader of the People’s Alliance Party, Sitiveni Rabuka, has announced that General Secretary Usaia Waqatairewa is stepping down from his role. Rabuka has expressed his concerns regarding Waqatairewa’s performance as a party official and plans to propose his removal during the upcoming Management Board Committee Meeting. When approached for a comment by FijiLive, Waqatairewa declined to respond on the issue. The party recently held its Annual General Assembly in Lautoka. Further developments are expected.
