The Leader of the People’s Alliance Party, Sitiveni Rabuka, has announced that General Secretary Usaia Waqatairewa is stepping down from his role. Rabuka has pointed to Waqatairewa’s lack of efficiency as a party official and plans to propose his removal at the upcoming Management Board Committee Meeting. Waqatairewa declined to comment on the situation when approached for a response. Last week, the party convened its Annual General Assembly in Lautoka. Stay tuned for further updates.
