Sitiveni Rabuka, the leader of the People’s Alliance Party, has announced that General Secretary Usaia Waqatairewa will be resigning from his role. Rabuka attributed Waqatairewa’s departure to his lack of efficiency in his duties as a Party Official and expressed his plans to seek Waqatairewa’s removal during the upcoming Management Board Committee Meeting. When contacted for a comment, Waqatairewa declined to respond. The Party recently held its Annual General Assembly in Lautoka. Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
