Leadership Shake-Up: Education to Justice Transition for Selina Kuruleca

The Public Service Commission has announced the reassignment of Selina Kuruleca, who currently serves as the Permanent Secretary for Education, to the position of Permanent Secretary for Justice, effective Monday of next week.

In the interim, Ratu Meli Nacuva will take on the role of Acting Permanent Secretary for Education while also serving as the Permanent Secretary for Youth and Sports.

Public Service Commission Chairman Luke Rokovada expressed gratitude to Kuruleca for her commitment to maintaining high educational standards and her focus on enhancing quality and equity in education. He remarked that her new role will allow her to further utilize her skills and experience.

Rokovada noted that Nacuva brings a wealth of experience in public administration, education policy, and training and development, which will be key in advancing the Ministry’s initiatives to improve the quality and accessibility of education for all citizens.

The Commission is dedicated to ensuring a seamless transition so that the Ministry of Education can continue to prioritize its mission of enhancing educational outcomes.
