The Leader of the People’s Alliance Party, Sitiveni Rabuka, has announced that General Secretary Usaia Waqatairewa is resigning from his role. Rabuka attributed Waqatairewa’s resignation to his inadequate performance as a Party Official and expressed plans to seek Waqatairewa’s removal during the forthcoming Management Board Committee Meeting. When contacted for comment by FijiLive, Waqatairewa declined to discuss the situation. Recently, the Party conducted its Annual General Assembly in Lautoka. Further updates will follow.
