LDS Church Unveils New Dorms: A Boost for Ratu Kadavulevu School

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has received commendation for its recent completion of two new dormitories for students at Ratu Kadavulevu School. During the opening ceremony, Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro expressed the government’s gratitude for the $1.1 million refurbishment.

The newly constructed dormitories for Bure Cakau and Ma’aafu are set to house hundreds of students, an initiative made possible by the Church’s efforts.

With a strong history of involvement in educational projects and humanitarian initiatives across the Pacific, this latest undertaking reinforces the Church’s dedication to supporting the youth in Fiji.

The Minister highlighted the significance of collaboration between the government and private entities in enhancing educational facilities throughout the nation.

The new dormitories, which were previously damaged by fires, now feature modern amenities, including over 140 double bunk beds, with the capacity to accommodate 280 students each year.
