The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has received accolades for successfully completing two new dormitories for students at Ratu Kadavulevu School. During the inauguration, Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro expressed the government’s appreciation for the $1.1 million refurbishment project.
The newly finished dormitories, named Bure Cakau and Ma’afu, are set to house hundreds of students at Ratu Kadavulevu School, thanks to the efforts of the Church. This initiative adds to the Church’s ongoing commitment to education and humanitarian projects in the Pacific region, highlighting its dedication to the welfare of young people in Fiji.
The Minister emphasized the necessity of collaboration between government and private organizations in enhancing educational facilities throughout the nation. The refurbished dormitories, which were previously damaged by fires, now boast modern amenities, including over 140 new double bunk beds, designed to accommodate 280 students annually.
