LDS Church Transforms Student Life with $1.1 Million Dorm Project

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has received commendations for the completion of two new dormitories for students at Ratu Kadavulevu School. During the inauguration, Education Minister Aseri Radrodro expressed the government’s appreciation for the $1.1 million renovation project.

The newly constructed dormitories, named Bure Cakau and Ma’afu, are expected to provide housing for hundreds of students at Ratu Kadavulevu School, thanks to the efforts of the Church.

This initiative reflects the Church’s ongoing commitment to educational and humanitarian projects in the Pacific, further contributing to the welfare of young people in Fiji.

The Minister highlighted the significance of collaboration between government entities and private organizations in enhancing educational infrastructure throughout the country.

The renovated dormitories, which had suffered damage from previous fires, now boast modern amenities, including over 140 double bunk beds, with capacity to accommodate 280 students annually.
