Saula Waqa, an accomplished marksman, scored twice as Lautoka triumphed over the Samoan national team with a score of 2-1 in a friendly match held at Churchill Park last night. Waqa showcased his exceptional skills, proving to be a formidable opponent for the Samoans during the match. This friendly served as an opportunity for Lautoka’s coaching staff to experiment with various combinations ahead of the 2024 FMF Inter District Championship, which kicks off next week.
In addition, Flick Hygiene Lautoka is set to play another preparatory match on Sunday against the reigning champions, Ba. Lautoka is placed in a group with Labasa, Suva, and Navua for the IDC and will begin their campaign against Navua at 6 PM on Tuesday.
