Saula Waqa showcased his scoring ability by netting two goals as Lautoka triumphed over the Samoan national team 2-1 in a friendly match at Churchill Park last night. Waqa, who has been in exceptional form this season, proved to be a challenging opponent for the Samoans during the encounter. The match provided the Lautoka coaching staff an opportunity to experiment with various formations ahead of the 2024 FMF Inter District Championship, which starts at home next week.
Additionally, Flick Hygiene Lautoka is set to play another preparatory match on Sunday, where they will take on the defending champions, Ba. Lautoka has been placed in a group with Labasa, Suva, and Navua for the IDC and will kick off their campaign against Navua at 6 PM on Tuesday.
