Lautoka emerged victorious over the Samoan national team with a 2-1 win in a friendly match held at Churchill Park last night, thanks to a double scored by experienced marksman Saula Waqa. Waqa has been in excellent form this season, proving to be a challenging opponent for the Samoans. The match also served as an opportunity for Lautoka’s coaching staff to experiment with different combinations ahead of the 2024 FMF Inter District Championship, which kicks off at home next week. Additionally, Flick Hygiene Lautoka is scheduled to play another friendly on Sunday, facing off against defending champions Ba. Lautoka has been placed in a group alongside Labasa, Suva, and Navua for the IDC and will begin their campaign against Navua at 6 PM on Tuesday.
