Lautoka triumphed over Ba with a score of 4-2 in Round 15 of the DFPL, which took place yesterday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

The match intensified when Lautoka was awarded a penalty in the 25th minute after Ba’s Suliano Tawanakoro fouled Sairusi Nalaubu. Nalaubu successfully converted the penalty, putting Lautoka ahead.

The game’s intensity escalated, resulting in Ba’s Penaia Nagatalevu receiving a yellow card just five minutes later. However, Ba responded well, and their efforts were rewarded in the 35th minute when Peceli Sukabula found the net, leveling the score at 1-1 as they headed into halftime.

Lautoka took charge in the second half, with Saula Waqa scoring in the 62nd minute to regain the lead. Aporosa Yada then added to Lautoka’s advantage, scoring twice in quick succession, first in the 65th minute and again in the 78th minute, bringing the score to 4-1.

Although Ba made a late attempt to close the gap, with Sukabula netting his second goal in the 90th minute, it was insufficient to alter the final outcome.
