Sairusi Nalaubu celebrated a hat-trick against Rewa in the Battle of the Giants semifinals, dedicating his goals to his family.
Lautoka defeated Rewa 5-2, with Nalaubu scoring 3 goals and Saula Waqa adding 2 more.
“We stuck to the game plan for the semifinal, worked on our defense and finishing. I dedicate this win to all the families back at home and not forgetting the fans,” said Nalaubu.
In an interview with FijiLive, both Nalaubu and Waqa praised the unity and collective effort of their team, which they believe will be crucial in their upcoming final against Nadi.
“Rewa was the favorite side from the pool game, but we came here with one mission, which was to take the 3 points and go into the final,” said Waqa.
The duo credits teamwork as the key to reaching the final, emphasizing that it has always been a central principle for the Blues.
The Flick Hygiene Lautoka team faces Smart Security/Calgary Nadi at 3pm today at HFC Bank Stadium, Suva.
