Lautoka, the host team for the 2024 Flick Hygiene Pacific Community Cup, is determined to finish the season with yet another title victory. Under the guidance of coach Shivam Raj, the team has already claimed titles in the Fiji FACT and the Battle of the Giants tournament earlier this year, and they are eager to add more silverware to their collection.

The road to another championship title will be challenging, as Lautoka finds itself in a tough group that includes last year’s runners-up, the Manukau All Stars, as well as AuFFI All Stars and Navua. To strengthen their chances, the Blues have bolstered their lineup with new signings, which include former Fiji U20 representatives Savenaca Baledrokadroka and Junior Dekedeke, along with New Zealand-based players Mohammed Aadil, Mohammed Aaron Arif, and Mason Wells.

In addition, the return of experienced goalkeeper Senirusi Bokini and versatile midfielder Edwin Sahayam adds depth to the squad. However, the team will miss the contributions of Epeli Leiroti and Antonio Tuivuna, who are currently sidelined due to injuries.

Key players such as Saula Waqa, Sairusi Nalaubu, Aporosa Yada, Zibraaz Sahib, Ilimotama Jese, Kishan Sami, Sterling Vasconcellos, and Sakaraia Naisua will spearhead Lautoka’s efforts on home turf. The team is set to kick off their campaign against the NZFFI Manukau All Stars in a crucial match on Day 1 at 8:45 PM.

This upcoming tournament not only showcases Lautoka’s ambitions but also serves as an exciting opportunity for fans to rally behind their team as they strive for continued success. The inclusion of new talent and returning players could set the stage for a thrilling competition and a hopeful path towards achieving their goals for the season.
