Lautoka’s Nalaubu Shines with Hat-Trick as Team Eyes Final Glory

Sairusi Nalaubu scored a hat-trick in the Battle of the Giants semifinals, leading Lautoka to a 5-2 victory over Rewa. Nalaubu, who dedicated his goals to his family, was joined on the scoresheet by teammate Saula Waqa, who added two more goals.

“We adhered to our game plan for the semifinal, focusing on defense and finishing. I dedicate this win to all the families back at home and our fans,” Nalaubu expressed.

In a conversation with FijiLive, both Nalaubu and Waqa highlighted the importance of team unity and effort, which they believe will be vital in their upcoming final against Nadi.

“Rewa was favored after the pool game, but we came with one objective— to secure the three points and advance to the final,” Waqa noted.

The pair attributed their success to teamwork, stressing that it has always been fundamental to Lautoka’s ethos.

The Flick Hygiene Lautoka team is set to compete against Smart Security/Calgary Nadi today at 3 PM at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
