Lautoka’s quest in the 2024 FMF Inter District Championship (IDC) has received a significant boost with the signing of seasoned goalkeeper Beniamino Mateinaqara. Currently based in Auckland, New Zealand, Mateinaqara has been granted leave from his employer, Rams Group of Companies, to enhance the Blues’ goalkeeping lineup, which has recently faced challenges.
Having previously secured IDC titles, the experienced keeper has a rich history with Lautoka and has also represented other clubs including Ba, Navua, Nadi, and Suva. Flick Hygiene Lautoka is positioned in Group A alongside Suva, Navua, and Labasa, with their opening match against Navua scheduled for 6 PM next Tuesday.
