Lautoka, the host district, has been eliminated from the 2024 FMF Inter District Championship (IDC) after their final Group A match against Suva ended in a 1-1 draw at Churchill Park today.
The Blues required a win to secure a semifinal spot, while the Whites also needed a victory by more than three goals to advance.
Lautoka took an early lead with a stunning strike from veteran midfielder Zibraaz Sahib in the 31st minute.
However, Suva equalized in the 58th minute with a goal from Ni-Vanuatu player Joe Moses.
As a result of this draw, Navua has advanced to the semifinals along with Labasa from Group A.
