Lautoka, the host district, has been eliminated from the 2024 FMF Inter District Championship (IDC) after drawing 1-1 against Suva in their final Group A match held at Churchill Park today. The Blues required a win to secure a place in the semifinals, while the Whites needed to win by more than three goals to advance.
Lautoka took the lead in the 31st minute with a superb strike from veteran midfielder Zibraaz Sahib. However, Suva equalized in the 58th minute with a goal from Ni-Vanuatu Joe Moses. As a result of this match, Navua has advanced to the semifinals alongside Labasa from Group A.
