Lautoka’s first-choice goalkeeper, Viliame Tabucala, is uncertain to play in their Rooster Chicken/Scoops Ice-Cream Battle of the Giants semifinal against Rewa today.
Tabucala sustained an injury during Lautoka’s group match against Navua and will undergo a final medical review today.
If Tabucala is deemed unfit, 19-year-old Epeli Vunibola will start the crucial encounter.
Lautoka President Shalendra Prasad acknowledges the challenge posed by Rewa, stating, “We are aware of Rewa; they are a structured side with experienced players. But we trained well and will give them an equal contention.”
Additionally, Captain Sitiveni Cavuilagi will miss the semifinal after receiving a red card against Navua last Sunday.
