Lautoka Welcomes the Pacific Adventure: A Cruise to Remember!

The Port of Lautoka is experiencing a busy season with its cruise ship schedule. Recently, the Pacific Adventure from P&O Cruises Australia made its arrival on August 19 as part of a 12-day round-trip adventure around Fiji. This 23-year-old ship has a passenger capacity of 3,174 and is supported by a crew of 1,100.

The 14-deck vessel set out from Sydney on August 13 and reached Mystery Island in Vanuatu on August 17. The Pacific Adventure, previously known as Dawn Princess, was scheduled to dock in Lautoka on August 19 before continuing to Dravuni Island in Kadavu and eventually returning to Sydney on August 25.

Costing $1,003 million to build, the Pacific Adventure is equipped with a Watrsila-Sulzer engine producing 63.4 MW (85,021 hp). According to Cruise Mapper, the ship was navigating the South Pacific Ocean en route to Lautoka, with specific coordinates of 17.60497 S / 177.43772 E.

Following its Fiji adventure, the Pacific Adventure will launch into a nine-day round-trip cruise known as the Barrier Reef Discovery Cruise, departing from Sydney at 4 PM on August 25. The itinerary includes stops in Queensland and Cairns, with additional berthing at Willis and Moreton Island before returning to Sydney on September 3.
