Saula Waqa showcased his talent by scoring twice as Lautoka secured a 2-1 victory over the Samoan national team in a friendly match held at Churchill Park last night. Waqa, in excellent form this season, proved to be a challenging opponent for the Samoans, allowing the Lautoka coaching staff to experiment with different player combinations ahead of the 2024 FMF Inter District Championship starting next week. Additionally, Flick Hygiene Lautoka is set to play another preparatory match on Sunday against the defending champions, Ba. In the upcoming IDC, Lautoka is placed in a group with Labasa, Suva, and Navua, and will kick off their campaign against Navua at 6 PM on Tuesday.
