Lautoka triumphed over Ba with a score of 4-2 in the 15th round of the DFPL, which took place yesterday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

The match intensified when Lautoka was awarded a penalty in the 25th minute following a foul on Sairusi Nalaubu by Ba’s Suliano Tawanakoro. Nalaubu converted the penalty, giving Lautoka a 1-0 lead. The game’s intensity increased, leading to Ba’s Penaia Nagatalevu receiving a yellow card just five minutes later.

Ba responded fiercely, leveling the score at 1-1 in the 35th minute with a goal from Peceli Sukabula as the teams went into halftime.

In the second half, Lautoka regained control of the match. Saula Waqa put Lautoka back in the lead with a goal in the 62nd minute. Aporosa Yada then further increased Lautoka’s advantage with goals in the 65th and 78th minutes, completing a brace and pushing the score to 4-1.

Ba mounted a late comeback, with Sukabula netting his second goal in the 90th minute, but it was not enough to alter the final result.
