Lautoka secured a victory over Ba with a score of 4-2 in Round 15 of the DFPL, which took place yesterday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

The match intensified when Lautoka was awarded a penalty in the 25th minute following a foul on Sairusi Nalaubu by Ba’s Suliano Tawanakoro. Nalaubu converted the penalty successfully, giving Lautoka the lead.

The game continued with high tension, leading to a yellow card for Ba’s Penaia Nagatalevu just five minutes later.

Ba remained determined, and their efforts bore fruit in the 35th minute when Peceli Sukabula found the net, equalizing the match at 1-1 as both teams headed into halftime.

In the second half, Lautoka regained control. Saula Waqa scored in the 62nd minute, putting Lautoka back ahead. Aporosa Yada then further increased their lead by scoring in the 65th and again in the 78th minute, sealing a brace and extending the score to 4-1.

Despite a late surge from Ba, culminating in Sukabula scoring his second goal in the 90th minute, it was not enough to alter the final result.
