Lautoka triumphed over Ba with a score of 4-2 in Round 15 of the DFPL, which took place yesterday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

The match intensified when Lautoka was granted a penalty in the 25th minute after Ba’s Suliano Tawanakoro fouled Sairusi Nalaubu. Nalaubu converted the penalty, giving Lautoka an early advantage.

The match’s aggression increased, resulting in Ba’s Penaia Nagatalevu receiving a yellow card just five minutes later. However, Ba remained determined, and their efforts bore fruit in the 35th minute when Peceli Sukabula netted a goal, equalizing the score at 1-1 by halftime.

In the second half, Lautoka seized control of the game. Saula Waqa scored in the 62nd minute, restoring Lautoka’s lead. Aporosa Yada then added to Lautoka’s score with goals in the 65th and 78th minutes, securing a brace and bringing the score to 4-1.

Although Ba made a late comeback attempt, with Sukabula scoring his second goal in the 90th minute, it was not enough to alter the final result.
