Lautoka Triumphs Again in Futsal IDC Showdown

The Homeland Enforcement Lautoka team achieved its second consecutive victory in the Extra Supermarket Futsal IDC competition, securing a 5-3 win against Nadi at the Vodafone Arena in Suva. This exciting match showcased goals from Lautoka’s Zibraaz Sahib and Aporosa Yada, who netted two goals each, alongside veteran player Taniela Waqa. Nadi’s goal scorers included Mohammed Shalmeen, Bir Khan, and Mohammed Ayman.

Lautoka’s coach, Waseem Kutty, praised his team’s commitment to following instructions despite the challenges they faced. During halftime, he focused on reinforcing the team’s defensive strategies, highlighting their importance for success. “We missed about five or six opportunities to score, but I commend the boys for their hard work on the field,” noted Kutty. He also expressed determination as the team looks forward to their next match.

Today, Lautoka is set to face Lami at 6 PM.

In the women’s division, Tailevu Naitasiri narrowly defeated Nasinu 2-1, while Northland Tailevu fell to Rewa with a score of 2-6.
