FLICK Hygiene Services has secured a government contract to initiate a termite baiting program targeting Asian Subterranean Termites in Lautoka, scheduled to commence later this month.
Sashi Kiran, co-chairperson of the Termite Taskforce, indicated that the company’s personnel would be visiting residences that have reported termite infestations and previously benefited from the government’s grant program.
“We urge homeowners to be present for the baiting process and to verify the identities of anyone entering their homes for these services,” Ms. Kiran emphasized.
“Flick Hygiene Services will evaluate the extent of the damage and identify active termite colonies at each property.”
The baiting program will involve the identification and treatment of colonies, with a minimum of three follow-up visits to ensure the elimination of the termites affecting homes.
Ms. Kiran also mentioned that all collected images and data would be compiled into reports to document the pilot project being executed in Lautoka.
