Police in Lautoka are seeking assistance in identifying a woman’s body that was discovered at Fenner Park along Thomson Crescent on Tuesday. The victim, thought to be of iTaukei descent and estimated to be between 20 and 30 years old, was found lying near a tree without any identification.
She was wearing black shorts, which had a gorilla design on the left front, paired with black tights and a black bra. A blue cloth was wrapped around her neck, and authorities noted that she had a ring on her left ring finger as well as red-and-white friendship beads on her left wrist.
Investigators are calling on the public to provide any information that may help identify the woman and clarify the circumstances surrounding her death. The community’s involvement is crucial in advancing this investigation, and police are hopeful that tips from the public may lead to important breakthroughs.
