The Shop N Save Supermarket has proudly sponsored the 93rd Lautoka Open Pro-AM Golf Championship, which has drawn an impressive record of over 100 golfers from Fiji and abroad. This much-anticipated 18-hole stroke competition is set to commence at 7 AM on Saturday at the Lautoka Golf Club.
James Krishna, the captain of the Lautoka Golf Club (LGC), has indicated that the competition will be fierce in both the professional and amateur categories. He noted that the excellent weather conditions have allowed the fairways and cart paths to be impeccably maintained, ensuring ideal playing conditions for Saturday’s event.
The event’s sponsor, Shop N Save Supermarket, will introduce additional prizes for the Gross and Nett Division, with a particular focus on junior golfers. The Fiji PGA (Professional Golf Association) continues to be a steadfast partner of the LGC, with their president, Vikrant Chandra, facilitating the presence of the top 17 professional golfers who will compete for a total prize purse of $7,000.
Raymond Singh, chairman of the trustees, announced that more than 40 prizes would be available for participants, along with sponsored sublimated T-Shirts and a delicious lovo lunch for all involved.
