Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu has announced that preliminary assessments performed by a Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) officer at the Fiji Sugar Corporation’s Lautoka Mill Head Office suggest that the seized pistols located in Lautoka are actually defense spray gas guns.

The police took action to cordon off the FSC Lautoka Mill Head Office after the guns were found during a routine cleaning by a staff member earlier today. Commissioner Tudravu stated that additional examinations will be carried out by the RFMF to thoroughly assess both the pistols and the ammunition that was discovered alongside them.

This incident underscores the importance of vigilance and safety in workplace environments, as unexpected findings can lead to important assessments by law enforcement. The collaboration between police and military forces highlights a proactive approach to ensuring community safety.
