A bench warrant was issued by the Lautoka High Court yesterday for four individuals involved in a 4.5 tonne methamphetamine drug bust in Nadi. Cathy Tuirabe, Sakiusa Tuva, Viliame Colowaliku, and Ratu Osea Levula were part of seven individuals who had been previously granted bail on March 17.

Justice Aruna Aluthge had authorized their release on strict conditions and a $2000 cash bond backed by two suitable guarantors each. The four individuals are facing charges of unlawful importation and possession of illicit drugs, in addition to possession of property suspected to be proceeds from their drug-related offences. This information was revealed in a recent post on The Fiji Times.
