The Lautoka City Chamber of Commerce and Industry is inviting all Lautoka residents to join in the celebration of Fiji’s 54th Independence Day tomorrow.
President Semy Narendra Swamy expressed his excitement for this year’s events, underlining the significance of unity within the community. He urged citizens to come out in large numbers to commemorate this important national day.
“I encourage our local community, business owners, and stakeholders to take part in decorating and enhancing shops, town streets, and homes to give Lautoka City a vibrant look for this special occasion,” Mr. Swamy stated.
He emphasized that Independence Day is a perfect opportunity for residents of Lautoka to come together, creating a sense of belonging and love for their city and fellow citizens. “This is a time for us to unite and support the good of the nation,” he added.
The chamber also committed to collaborating with the Municipal Council, police, and other stakeholders to ensure law and order during the celebrations, as well as to assist the vulnerable and needy citizens in Lautoka.
