Lautoka FC celebrated a thrilling victory in the Battle of the Giants tournament this afternoon, overcoming Nadroga FC 2-1 during a pool match. Mohammed Sahzil was the star of the show, netting both goals for Lautoka, which allowed the team to secure their first win in the tournament.

Team president Salendra Prasad commended the players for their strong start and particularly praised the defensive performance. He acknowledged, however, that there is still room for improvement as they look to sustain their momentum in upcoming matches.

Nadroga also put up a commendable fight, showcasing a solid defensive game. They managed to score a goal through Salimone Ravonokula, but despite several chances, they could not find the net again before the final whistle.

On another note, excitement is building as fans gather at Subrail Park in anticipation of the highly-anticipated match between hosts Labasa and Ba, set to kick off at 6:30 pm. This suggests a vibrant atmosphere in the tournament, as it draws supporters from across the region.

Overall, Lautoka’s performance stands as a positive indicator as they navigate through the tournament, and with continued dedication and improvement, they may well aim for further success in the future.
