FLiCK Hygiene Lautoka FC, champions of the ROOSTER Chicken/Scoops Ice Cream Battle of the Giants tournament, will hold a private dinner for players and sponsors at Northern Club in Lautoka this evening. President Shalendra Prasad stated that a major celebration is not planned due to the upcoming Digicel Premier League games, with Lautoka set to face Labasa on Sunday at Churchill Park at 3 PM.
Prasad mentioned that the dinner will be for the families of the players, where prize money will be distributed and sponsors will be acknowledged. Lautoka clinched the BOG title, their first in eight years, by defeating Smart & Efficient Security Services/Calgary Nadi 2-0 in the final held at HFC Bank Stadium. Saula Waqa scored a penalty in the 64th minute, followed by a goal from Sairusi Nalaubu in the 81st minute, securing the victory.
With this achievement, Lautoka now holds two titles this season, having also won the Fiji FACT, and they are set to host the upcoming IDC tournament.
