Lautoka kicked off its journey in the 2024 Extra Supermarket Futsal Inter District Championship (IDC) in Suva with an impressive victory, defeating Labasa 4-1.
The match initially saw Labasa take the lead with a goal from Daniel Dass. However, Solomon Islander Wilson Doedoke equalized just before halftime, bringing hope to the Lautoka side. In the second half, Lautoka showcased their strength and skill through standout performances from players such as Taniela Waqa, Raj Pillay, Aporosa Yada, Doedoke, and Samuel Gavo, who combined to score three more goals without reply. Pillay, Yada, and Doedoke each contributed to this convincing win.
Looking ahead, Lautoka, backed by Homeland Enforcement, is set to face Nadi in a crucial match today at 3 PM.
