Lautoka began its journey in the 2024 Extra Supermarket Futsal Inter District Championship (IDC) in Suva on a strong note, delivering an impressive performance against Labasa, winning the match 4-1.
Labasa took an early lead in the match thanks to a goal from Daniel Dass. However, Lautoka’s Solomon Islander Wilson Doedoke equalized shortly before halftime, bringing the score to 1-1.
In the second half, Lautoka showcased their strength and skill, with players such as Taniela Waqa, Raj Pillay, Aporosa Yada, Doedoke, and Samuel Gavo taking control of the game. They scored three unanswered goals – Pillay, Yada, and Doedoke each contributing to the tally, solidifying Lautoka’s dominance.
The team, sponsored by Homeland Enforcement, is set to face Nadi in their next match today at 3 PM.
